Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drywall Superintendent to join our team at Acousti Engineering. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of drywall, stucco, plaster, and related finishes on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the field installation of drywall, stucco, plaster, and related finishes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor field staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and manage detailed schedules based on general contractor timelines, ensuring all activities are sequenced and executed efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety and readiness prior to initiating manpower deployment, and maintain a daily presence on job sites to oversee production and safety.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate labor-only subcontractors, including manpower management, payroll processing, safety oversight, and supervision.
  • Material Management: Coordinate and schedule material deliveries to job sites in a timely manner, and order lifts and other necessary equipment for active jobs.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly update project managers and the VP of construction on project progress, and participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new field team members.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on framing, drywall installation, and related trades.
  • Skills: Proven experience in reading and creating schedules based on general contractor schedules, proficiency in blueprint reading, and familiarity with construction software.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 and/or 30-hour certification required, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and fall protection certifications preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
