Your Role

We are currently seeking a driven and skilled Project Engineer to join our Naples, Florida office. This role requires a professional with a solid background in civil engineering, particularly in community development. You will engage with clients, government entities, and collaborate with a talented team on significant projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive civil engineering design tasks, including layout, grading, drainage, paving, and erosion control for various land development projects.
  • Prepare detailed submission packages, including calculations, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Utilize sketches, electronic models, and diagrams to develop design concepts.
  • Leverage technology to create three-dimensional models of civil systems and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Draft and revise documentation across various civil phases, including site plans and detailed specifications.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, including consultants and contractors.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and conduct value analysis.
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing project scope, budget, staffing, and timelines.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications alongside construction documents.
  • Perform calculations using standard software and proprietary tools to ensure project accuracy.
  • Engage in constructability reviews and uphold quality assurance on projects.
  • Contribute to the development of new standards and specifications for the civil engineering team.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in all aspects of civil design, including grading, streets, water, sewer, and storm drainage.
  • Strong understanding of industry practices with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working with both private and public sector clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong graphic presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydrology/hydraulic design software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in client management and business development is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering and site design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.

This position primarily involves working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use. Fieldwork may require exposure to various weather conditions.
