Position Overview:

As a Construction Field Specialist, you will take on a pivotal role at the job site, championing health and safety standards, ensuring quality in reporting and workmanship, and overseeing that all engineering tasks are executed with professionalism and integrity.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the successful and timely execution of complex multimillion-dollar heavy civil projects, including highways and bridges, from the pre-construction phase through to project completion.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and enforce company Safety Policies and Procedures, aligning with our core value of "Safety First, In Everything We Do".
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of innovative construction strategies to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare detailed work plans to facilitate safe and effective project execution.
  • Contribute to the strategic formulation of project management plans, including comprehensive scheduling and deliverables management.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material resources.
  • Engage in daily operational decision-making and project management functions, ensuring accountability for project execution and financial results.
  • Support the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee timely and quality project delivery.
  • Track project production metrics and maintain accurate documentation of costs and resources.
  • Participate in project quality assurance and control measures to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide technical support for construction planning and efficient method development.
  • Assist in project close-out activities, ensuring all documentation and transitional processes are completed.
  • Engage in field surveying and project layout tasks, ensuring accuracy in measurements and data collection.

Qualifications:

A four-year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent technical training, along with two years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction projects is preferred.

Experience in construction field operations on heavy civil or infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BlueBeam is required, with familiarity in HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, and P6 being a plus.

Applicants must be able to navigate various construction site environments and possess a valid Driver's License.
