The Bank Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of various business units across the division. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to provide coverage for different areas, including Wire Transfer, ACH, Trust Operations, Capital Markets Group Operations, and Treasury & Commercial Customer Support.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in temporary assignments in operational business units, such as Card Security or Disputes, Loan Servicing, Account Maintenance & Support, and Deposit Services.
- Handle incoming calls, address online account queries, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Efficiently navigate various internal systems for daily tasks.
- Interact professionally with both internal and external clients.
- Evaluate processes and procedures to recommend improvements.
- Execute other duties as delegated.
- Foundational understanding of the banking industry.
- Capacity to continuously acquire knowledge of new support functions.
- Aptitude for quickly learning company systems, platforms, and products.
- Ability to use discretion in escalating issues when necessary.
- Recognition of workflow or process enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Self-motivated and organized self-starter with keen attention to detail and capability to manage multiple priorities.
- Inquisitive, adaptable, and a strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to remain flexible and resilient in all situations with a positive outlook aligned with our culture and Core Values.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years in financial services or related field required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience is necessary.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year in bank operations.
