CBTS is seeking a skilled software engineer with expertise in DevOps and platform engineering. This role is crucial for developing exceptional software solutions that contribute to the success of our organization. You will be responsible for constructing various components of the company's infrastructure to facilitate numerous interactions at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the platform's uptime, performance, stability, and scalability.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate on system architecture and design.
  • Design and maintain a public API.
  • Create robust and extensible solutions based on feature requests.
  • Engage with big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop enhanced features.
  • Work alongside DBAs to establish ETL and Data Warehouse systems.
  • Partner with Operations to automate solutions and enhance service reliability.
  • Monitor all production systems related to the platform closely.
  • Develop tools and processes to support analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data warehousing platforms.
  • Define and implement strategies covering everything from subnets to backups and fog networking/computing configurations.
  • Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and monitor both onsite and cloud-based server resources.
  • Establish deployment strategies for client-facing and internal tools.
  • Continuously improve and fine-tune alerting and monitoring systems.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience supporting enterprise applications in cloud environments, web application servers, or third-party hosted sites, demonstrating scripting expertise for automation, analytics, monitoring, or health checks.
  • Strong software development background with experience in building software systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar.
  • Solid background in Linux administration.
  • Extensive experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud.
  • Thorough understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) and orchestration software (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of computer networking principles.
  • Experience managing systems at a production scale.
