The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing exceptional software solutions that enhance business performance. This role involves constructing various components of the organization's infrastructure to facilitate extensive interactions at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the platform's uptime, performance, stability, and scalability are maintained
  • Design, mentor, and challenge architectural and design choices collaboratively
  • Create and manage a public API
  • Deliver robust and extensible solutions based on feature requests
  • Engage with big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement valuable features
  • Partner with Database Administrators to establish ETL and Data Warehouse systems
  • Work alongside Operations to automate solutions and enhance service reliability
  • Monitor all production systems related to the platform closely
  • Develop tools and processes to support analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data warehousing
  • Define and execute strategies for subnets, backups, and fog networking/computing configurations
  • Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and oversee both onsite and cloud-based server resources
  • Establish deployment strategies for both client-facing and internal systems
  • Continuously improve and optimize alerting and monitoring systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node JS, Platform Engineering, and Python
  • Experience in software and systems development
  • Strong foundation in software development with a focus on building software systems
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar
  • Solid background in Linux administration
  • Extensive experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT security best practices
  • Experience with automation/configuration tools (Puppet, Ansible) and/or orchestration software (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of computer networking
  • Experience managing systems at a production scale
  • Preferred: familiarity with Agile methodologies, Angular, Ajax, DevOps, Digital AI, Dynatrace, EC2 containers, External JS, jQuery, and AWS
