Key Responsibilities:
As an IT Senior Software Engineer, you will join our Enterprise Services team. This role requires a proactive individual to implement new standards, processes, and best practices in microservices development. A visionary with exceptional communication abilities, you will confidently engage with various organizational sectors and lead collaborative sessions to expedite the transition of API/Service development to cloud environments. The modernization of API/Services development will encompass the following activities:
- Design and Development: Engineer microservices systems utilizing languages such as C# (.NET Core), while leveraging Azure services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure App Services. Transition legacy .NET applications into cloud-native microservices architecture.
- API Management: Create REST API services following OpenAPI specifications and integrate them with Azure API Gateway.
- Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize microservices and deploy them on AKS or Azure App Services.
- Authentication and Authorization: Work alongside other teams to implement OAuth2.0 and JWT for secure inter-service communication.
- Scalability and Resilience: Enhance microservices for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitoring and Logging: Collaborate with peers to establish monitoring and logging frameworks using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- Strong analytical skills and a collaborative work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Experience with Azure services (AKS, Azure App Services, API Gateway).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
Additional Assets:
- Experience in microservice architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of web services, networking, and identity/access management.
- Experience managing production workloads in Azure.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
- Knowledge of Azure Functions for serverless computing.
