Overview of Responsibilities:

This role acts as a primary contact for Cloud and infrastructure-related initiatives, inquiries, and challenges. Engages in the design, execution, and management of Cloud-based platform solutions in collaboration with Cloud Architects and various teams (e.g., Web, Database, Storage, Networking, IAM) to ensure that both current and future business needs are addressed. Collaborates with Information Security to guarantee that the proposed infrastructure solutions align with our Cloud security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stays updated on advancements in emerging Cloud technology trends. Identifies new products that could benefit Western & Southern Financial Group and conducts thorough research and analysis of these offerings.
  • Demonstrates the practical application of tools in real-world scenarios. Investigates their potential use within Western & Southern Financial Group and recommends the adoption of new technologies or methodologies when suitable.
  • Provides immediate support to development projects by addressing complex issues.
  • Ensures that projects adhere to tight timelines.
  • Participates in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of new systems and technologies or significant system enhancements. Often manages projects from initial research through to implementation.
  • Assesses the feasibility of proposed projects and evaluates new software solutions in terms of cost, resources, system capabilities, and other relevant factors.
  • Engages with vendors and third-party providers to support platforms and implement enhancements.
  • Ensures compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments both internally and externally.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Proven ability to operate on application and technical projects with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to multiple demands, shifting priorities, uncertainty, and rapid changes.
  • Experience in setting and achieving goals, with a focus on improving business and technical processes.
  • Experience in effectively managing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a history of identifying and quantifying issues and providing effective solutions. Good decision-making abilities when faced with multiple options.

  • Must provide examples of managing multiple deadlines and completing projects with little or no guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting while working at a desk, using a computer, or participating in meetings.
  • Requires visual acuity to read various documents, reports, and forms, and to prepare and analyze data accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or information technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience, including at least 2 years of support experience in related technologies such as Azure and other cloud platforms.
  • Strong infrastructure background with a solid understanding of products and technologies like Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, messaging, etc., along with Cloud infrastructure/services and delivery models.
  • Technical experience in infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Good communication skills with a background in customer support.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Azure or M365 certifications are highly regarded.

Position Demands:

  • Extended hours may be necessary during peak workloads or special projects.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
