Team Dynamics:

This role is part of ACL Digital's Personalization Services team, utilizing technologies that facilitate access to big data for our digital platforms.

The team manages a suite of robust, high-speed, and highly reliable services, processing billions of records and thousands of transactions per second with response times around 20ms, supporting multiple core domains.

As a member of an agile team, you will work closely with your colleagues, as well as architecture, security, core services, and other stakeholders to deliver and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

In a Product Led organization, technical teams closely align with business partners to ensure that Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) are focused on delivering maximum value to our customers.

The operating environment consists of Java-based services running in Spring Cloud/AKS across multiple cloud platforms, integrated with large data feeds.

Essential Skills:
1. Proven experience in developing scalable microservices using Spring Boot

2. Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)

3. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members on both technical and business matters

Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development, including design patterns and code structure

3+ years of demonstrated success in designing and delivering large-scale, high-quality systems

3+ years of experience in a leadership role for building complex software and automation systems delivered to clients

Strong understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape

Ability to think strategically and contribute at a high level

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Knowledge of network and security architecture

Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas: infrastructure and network design, application development, APIs, cloud technologies, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations

Preferred Experience:
Experience in system architecture

Experience with cloud software services, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability

Proven ability to build, mentor, and sustain an inclusive team environment

Experience in developing solutions using elastic architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a high-quality codebase, lead design discussions, execute development based on design, and navigate complex codebases

Responsible for implementing technical designs within a defined set of teams. Execute against a defined technology roadmap to support project portfolios and business strategies

Participate in establishing enterprise standards across various domains: operations, infrastructure, data, applications, development, security & risk, and business continuity

Provide technical clarity between ongoing projects and the strategic objectives of the organization

Drive digital innovation by leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance, extend, and transform the existing core technology framework and IT infrastructure

Implement comprehensive migration plans to bridge the gaps between current and future state solutions

Lead the assessment of the technology landscape to identify critical deficiencies and propose improvement solutions

Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes, and best practices.
