Position Overview

The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of the manufacturing operations by pinpointing areas for improvement and implementing streamlined, cost-effective, and dependable methodologies throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise work instructions and manufacturing processes across all divisions.
  • Utilize various process enhancement methodologies, including Lean principles, Poka Yoke, and Six Sigma, to establish an optimal value stream for our products while minimizing manufacturing costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all manufacturing procedures and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Provide training to team members as necessary.
  • Offer expert advice to Engineering, planning, and cost estimation teams regarding manufacturing processes and tooling.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and jigs to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Deliver consistent support to manufacturing operations.
  • Effectively manage projects: adhere to commitments, meet deadlines, and maintain clear communication.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives whenever feasible.
  • Stay informed about cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, techniques, and concepts.
  • Prepare justifications for necessary capital asset investments.
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to facilitate the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving parts and process challenges.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong ability to engage with colleagues and clients.
  • High motivation and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Material Science or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing rubber molded products and elastomeric materials.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 AM to 1:30 PM
