Role Summary
Enhance all facets of the manufacturing process by pinpointing opportunities and implementing
streamlined, efficient, cost-effective, and dependable methods throughout the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and revise work instructions and manufacturing routers across all departments.
- Utilize various process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Poka Yoke, and Six Sigma, to achieve optimal value streams and minimize manufacturing costs.
- Document all manufacturing procedures and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Provide training to team members as necessary.
- Offer support to Engineering, planning, and cost estimation regarding routers and tooling.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide consistent support to manufacturing operations.
- Effectively manage projects: uphold commitments, meet deadlines, and maintain clear communication.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives whenever feasible.
- Stay informed about cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, techniques, and concepts.
- Prepare justifications for necessary capital asset investments.
- Design tools, fixtures, and jigs to facilitate production.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Proven experience in analyzing and resolving parts and process challenges.
