Your contributions are vital. Every position influences our patients' lives, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We are seeking a committed Respiratory Therapist RRT to be part of our healthcare team.

Role Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As an essential member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist conducts various diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures while monitoring patients receiving both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. Perform diagnostic procedures to assess the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with the placement of artificial airways. Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic responses. Notify the provider and intervene as necessary in case of unintended responses.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients who are dependent on ventilators.
  • Respond to emergency patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
Qualifications Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification.
  • Associate Degree in a relevant field.
