Role Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care. This includes:
- Administering and managing mechanical ventilation for patients.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitoring patients and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient care.
- Demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment in patient care situations.
- Exhibiting strong customer service skills and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required within six months of hire.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Capability to work independently and handle stressful situations effectively.
