Role Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care. This includes:

  • Administering and managing mechanical ventilation for patients.
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitoring patients and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient care.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment in patient care situations.
  • Exhibiting strong customer service skills and effective communication.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required within six months of hire.
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
  • Capability to work independently and handle stressful situations effectively.
