Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is excited to announce an opportunity for an eBike Sales and Marketing Specialist to contribute to our Smart Powered Vehicles division. This role is pivotal in enhancing sales performance within designated regions, onboarding new dealers, and ensuring outstanding customer interactions. The selected candidate will also focus on identifying potential dealer prospects and providing comprehensive education on current sales initiatives, dealer systems, marketing strategies, and product knowledge related to eBikes and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage proactively with potential clients through various outreach methods, including cold-calling and email campaigns. Assess historical sales data against market trends to devise effective strategies for the assigned region and each dealer. Qualify leads and manage the sales pipeline to meet sales objectives and expand market presence.
  • Identify and reach out to prospective dealers and partners within the specified area to broaden the eBike dealer network. Clearly articulate the benefits of collaboration with our brand and demonstrate a thorough understanding of our product offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities through CRM or other reporting systems. Analyze sales data to uncover trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Work closely with the field sales team to ensure smooth onboarding of new dealers. Conduct training sessions to equip dealers with knowledge about products, programs, dealer systems, sales techniques, and brand principles.
  • Meet key wholesale, retail, market share, performance, and initiative goals as outlined by management. Assist team members in achieving both team and individual objectives.
  • Foster strong collaboration with field sales and marketing colleagues, as well as other internal Yamaha business units and external partners, to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Represent products at customer and dealer events and travel to key dealers and partners as necessary to drive sales growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven inside sales experience in a B2B context, ideally within the bicycle or related recreational products sectors. Experience in phone sales is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and executing critical business initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong negotiation capabilities, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to effectively motivate dealers and partners.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding customer needs and delivering suitable solutions.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively with field sales and marketing teams to align strategies, share market insights, and coordinate efforts to maximize sales performance.
  • Willingness to travel as required for sales meetings and events.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $79,990, plus sales incentives. Yamaha will determine base pay based on job-related experience, and further details will be provided during the hiring process.

This position reports to the Department Manager.
