Position Overview

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a dedicated Regional Marine Sales and Marketing Manager to enhance our Marine division. This role involves overseeing the development and management of dealer relationships across a diverse territory. The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor to Yamaha Outboard Dealers, fostering mutual growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective sales partnerships with marine dealers, focusing on new business development and collaboration with boat manufacturers and sales representatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive sales training sessions for dealer personnel and support staff as required.
  • Set and monitor performance targets and objectives aligned with Yamaha's strategic goals.
  • Identify and implement tailored sales strategies specific to Yamaha Outboards within the designated region.
  • Ensure dealer satisfaction through regular monitoring and support of Yamaha Outboard dealers.
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting.
  • Continuously refine and execute a strategic sales plan to meet monthly sales objectives.
  • Represent Yamaha with professionalism and competence, while actively seeking opportunities to enhance the overall professionalism within the territory.
  • Implement Yamaha Outboard Sales and promotional initiatives across the dealer network.
  • Accurately assess product needs for dealer accounts based on dealer feedback, market analysis, and historical sales data.
  • Analyze dealer sales reports and other relevant data to inform territory strategies.
  • Participate in boat builder meetings, corporate and local boat shows, and dealer events.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of dealer sales programs specific to the region.
  • Communicate Yamaha's policies, procedures, and objectives effectively to the dealer network.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant sales or sales management experience.
  • Willingness to travel overnight, including occasional weekend commitments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by exceptional presentation abilities.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and open to relocation if necessary.
