This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, activating new partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer interactions. The specialist will focus on identifying potential dealer prospects and educating them on our sales initiatives, dealer systems, marketing strategies, and product knowledge, particularly regarding eBikes and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential clients through proactive outreach methods, including cold-calling and email campaigns. Assess historical sales data against current market dynamics to develop effective strategies for the assigned regions and dealers. Manage the sales pipeline to meet targets and expand market presence.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective dealers and partners within the designated territory to broaden the eBike dealer network. Clearly articulate the benefits of collaboration with our brand and showcase an in-depth understanding of our product offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities using CRM systems or other reporting tools. Analyze sales data to uncover trends and areas for enhancement.
- Work collaboratively with the field sales team to ensure smooth onboarding processes for new dealers. Conduct training sessions to inform dealers about products, programs, sales techniques, and brand values.
- Meet and exceed wholesale, retail, market share, and performance targets as established by management. Assist team members in achieving collective and individual objectives.
- Foster strong teamwork with field sales and marketing colleagues, as well as other internal Yamaha departments and external partners, to achieve desired outcomes.
- Represent products at customer and dealer events, and travel to key partners as necessary to drive sales growth.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven inside sales experience in a B2B context, ideally within the bicycle or related recreational products sectors. Experience in phone sales is highly valued.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales objectives and executing strategic business initiatives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation capabilities and a customer-focused approach. Ability to effectively engage and motivate dealers and partners.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong aptitude for understanding customer needs and delivering suitable solutions.
- A collaborative team player who can align strategies and share market insights with field sales and marketing teams to optimize sales performance.
- Willingness to travel as required for sales meetings and events.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $79,990, plus sales incentives. Yamaha offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
