SBA Business Development Officer

Truliant Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled SBA Business Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for delivering the Credit Union's business products and services to existing and new members, with a focus on our Small Business Administration (SBA) program.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate routine business loan requests, from information gathering to loan closing and trailing document follow-up.
- Develop contacts and leads to generate Member Business Loans using SBA loan financing for small businesses.
- Perform ongoing portfolio management, including growing member business relationships and monitoring loan collections.
- Develop and implement calling efforts to create new relationships, expand existing ones, and generate referrals.
- Collaborate with branch staff to support and refer SBA lending leads.
- Contribute to complex credit memos and assist in presenting loan requests to the SBA Underwriter and Member Business Loan Committee.
- Prepare and submit loan documents to the SBA processing center.
- Deliver commitment letters and provide detailed program information to approved borrowers.
- Sign loan agreements and manage all aspects of the loan process.
- Represent Truliant in community activities and events.
- Assist in analyzing and designing new business services products.
- Strong knowledge of SBA eligibility, lending rules, regulations, and practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, from senior managers to front-line employees.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and resources.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in SBA lending, preferably in financial services or business development.
