Position Overview

The Solar Energy Technical Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs. This position involves working remotely, providing essential support to sales teams and clients in the solar energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presenting Fronius' innovative technical solutions to clients through engaging meetings and informative presentations.
  • Collaborating with sales personnel and account managers to enhance technical understanding in intricate sales scenarios.
  • Evaluating customer solar system designs and offering guidance on optimal practices utilizing Fronius products.
  • Assisting existing Fronius Solutions Providers with expert technical knowledge for upcoming projects.
  • Ensuring clients receive the latest technical updates on Fronius products to maintain our status as their preferred inverter supplier.
  • Providing technical insights to solar installers interested in Fronius offerings.
  • Delivering feedback to Sales and Engineering teams regarding product developments, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Working with Product Marketing and Training departments to develop new technical materials, including presentations and training sessions.
  • Identifying potential solar installer prospects to integrate into our sales pipeline.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and project details in the CRM system.
  • Participating in industry trade shows and events to share technical knowledge and product information.
  • Upholding a professional image of Fronius while fostering long-term relationships within the solar energy industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical engineering is required.
  • Experience in providing technical advice and conducting product training sessions.
  • Familiarity with NEC Code, UL, and IEEE Solar PV standards is essential.
  • Formal solar training or NABCEP Entry Level certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Solar PV installation is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in technical support is recommended.
  • Willingness to travel regularly is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid passport is required.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Exceptional documentation skills for meeting summaries and technical notes.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across sales, technical, and operational domains.
  • A passion for innovation in renewable energy is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • A positive and energetic attitude coupled with technical proficiency.
  • A strategic mindset focused on achieving goals.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • A self-motivated team player.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
