Specification Sales Manager for Northern California

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Responsible for driving profitable sales growth and enhancing market presence for BOSS Plow's irrigation and lighting systems in the Northern California region.
Implement annual growth strategies aimed at increasing demand, promoting key product sales, and launching new product developments across the sales territory.
Cultivate and strengthen business relationships with current specifiers while identifying and converting new clientele.Collaborate with Field Sales Team members to develop relationships with key influencers and establish strategic direction for specification and project activities within the territory.
Provide consistent updates on market trends, opportunities, competitive landscape, and accurate business forecasts to the Specification Sales Manager, Channel Marketing, and Director of Sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Specification, Demand Generation, and
Sales Expansion:
Sustain and enhance demand with existing specifier customers while driving new project conversions for BOSS Plow's product lines.
Focus efforts on expanding specifications through Landscape Architects, Irrigation Consultants, Design Build Firms, Builders, Municipal Clients, and other key influencers.
Collaborate with the DSM/BDM/RSM team to maintain and grow existing customer relationships and secure additional sales through comprehensive specification initiatives.
Increase market share by boosting sales volume of BOSS Plow's commercial control systems. Oversee all aspects of the business at both regional and local levels. Build and nurture relationships with key influencers to secure retrofitting of existing systems and new project opportunities.Monitor specifier and project conversions and targets using CRM tools. Provide monthly updates on top 20 targets, including current sales volumes. Complete Monthly Activity Reports detailing Channel Updates, Wins/Conversions, Challenges, Issues, and Needs.
Accelerate adoption of new product development projects and launches. Enhance adoption of key growth categories outlined in the annual plan.
Complete the Team Annual Planning document. Manage cost centers and funding to maximize ROI and ensure sustainable growth. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to achieve sales objectives as determined by the National Specification Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Level I Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
Experience:
4-5 years in technical sales.
Level II Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
Experience:
5-7 years in technical sales.
Training:
Coursework in management, turf, agronomy, landscape, irrigation, and design. Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to provide technical support to the sales team, enhance sales capabilities, and expand industry knowledge.
Mathematical Skills:
Proficient in business mathematics.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to effectively sell products and maintain long-term professional relationships. Capable of interpreting various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Certificates/Licenses:
Develop professional connections throughout the region by participating in industry conventions, supporting educational programs, and engaging in trade shows and local meetings.

The position is remote-based in Northern California.Compensation is determined based on skills, experience, education, and location. The estimated annual pay range is between $100,000 - $150,000. Cash compensation is part of a competitive total rewards package.
