Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The main objective of this role is to oversee, maintain, and enhance service sales and maintenance interests for Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. within the Southern California region on a targeted basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet established service sales targets and objectives related to account retention, open order sales, repair sales, foreign maintenance acquisition, and NCS conversion.
  • Ensure all maintenance agreements are up-to-date and mitigate unnecessary risks. Proactively manage pending or expiring maintenance contracts and identify potential cancellations to take preventive action.
  • Prepare maintenance estimates, open order proposals, and repair proposals, and present these to clients.
  • Identify competitive advantages and leverage them to promote the premium services offered.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while maximizing company interests in the region.
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and positively to all client inquiries and concerns.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge regarding elevator and escalator operations.
  • Build industry expertise, particularly in evolving regulatory environments.
  • Assist with collections and account maintenance to ensure minimal outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain accurate data entries and reports as required.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and tasks.
  • Review all billables and escalations monthly for accuracy.
  • Accurately enter data and utilize Salesforce in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in Vision 2025 Committees and related processes.
  • Engage in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives whenever possible.
  • Perform additional job functions as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in B2B Sales, Construction, Services, or Commercial/Retail Real Estate.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Previous experience in a sales and/or customer service environment is preferred.
  • General knowledge of the vertical transportation industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage adversity calmly and maintain a high sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of MS Project is advantageous.
  • Experience with Salesforce applications.

The salary range for this position is expected to be between $104,000 and $143,000 per year; however, the base salary offered may vary based on various individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as commissions based on individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation, and discretionary awards, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits.
