Position Overview

The Department is currently looking for seasonal Logic and Accuracy Testing and Proofing Coordinators to assist with various election-related tasks in preparation for upcoming electoral events. These coordinators will play a crucial role in supporting the Polling Place Operations Division by engaging in testing, validation, monitoring, and documentation of reports generated by voting systems. The primary work location will be at the Department's designated warehouse.

In addition to standard responsibilities, the selected individual will support the Polling Place Operations Manager by overseeing clerical staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Staging and testing voting equipment, with the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Operating and maintaining voting systems.
  • Collaborating with equipment vendors.
  • Inputting and managing data within computer systems.
  • Proofreading reports to ensure complete accuracy.
  • Organizing and managing documentation.
  • Conducting equipment management tasks, including labeling.
  • Validating and tracking reports.
  • Providing administrative and clerical support.
  • Assisting with inventory and supply management.
  • Supporting operations at various locations as needed.

Work Schedule and Requirements

This is a seasonal role, with the start date dependent on the hiring process completion. The position is expected to conclude in mid-November, subject to operational needs.

Work hours will fluctuate based on election cycle demands, ranging from 20 to 60 hours weekly. Most tasks will occur during standard business hours, but flexibility for overtime, including weekends, will be necessary. Overtime compensation will be provided accordingly.

The work environment is primarily in a warehouse setting with limited climate control, but may also involve offsite responsibilities. Employees may encounter varying temperatures and noise levels.

This position is classified as temporary exempt as-needed. Employees who meet specific criteria may be eligible for health coverage and retirement benefits.

Salary Range

$69,186 to $84,084 annually

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess a minimum of two years (equivalent to 4000 hours) of verifiable clerical experience, including record maintenance and public interaction.

Substitution: Completion of a clerical training program or equivalent coursework may substitute for part of the experience requirement.

  • Familiarity with voting equipment and report proofreading.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems.
  • Strong data entry skills.
