Election Day Polling Place District Support Team Member

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our District Support Team as a Polling Place Support Specialist. This is a temporary exempt as-needed position that will assist in supporting 501 polling places in preparation for the General Election.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a paid 8-hour training session to prepare for the role.
- Assist in delivering equipment to polling places before Election Day and retrieving equipment after Election Day.
- Work approximately 20 hours on Election Day, driving a City vehicle to and from polling places, ensuring compliance with state and federal accessibility requirements.
- Install accessibility features, monitor polling place setups, and report any issues to the Department.
- Valid California driver's license and a clean DMV record.
- Ability to work up to a 20-hour day, track and address numerous high-priority tasks simultaneously, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use a smartphone to track Election Day tasks and safely drive and park a large vehicle within the City of San Francisco.
- Registered California voter.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
This is a temporary exempt as-needed position with the City and County of San Francisco. Temporary exempt as-needed employees who have worked more than 1040 hours in any consecutive 12-month period, and whose normal work week at the time of inclusion in the system is not less than 20 hours, are eligible for health coverage and retirement benefits.
