Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Corporate, Foundation, and Association Relations program. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to secure funding from corporate, foundation, and association partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate fund-raising plan, including prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
  • Plan and execute campus visits, outreach to institutional prospects, and facilitate relationships between potential and current donors and faculty and students.
  • Work closely with faculty, funders, volunteers, and university staff to raise financial support from corporations, foundations, and associations.
  • Provide information and advice to inform university policy decisions in response to changing faculty needs and/or funder landscape.
  • Stay informed about current university initiatives, research, and educational programs and activities to support the alignment of the overall giving goals of the university's development organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience in university/business alliances and strategies, and sponsored research experience or knowledge (strongly preferred).
  • Corporate engagement and strategic planning know-how (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in corporate and/or foundation prospect research and identification, relationship building, proposal and budget development, and solicitation.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and corporate and foundation professionals.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to translate complex concepts into a compelling case for philanthropic support.
