Senior Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts SHC

Stanford University is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts SHC to join its Medical Center Development team. This is a key role in the development of Stanford Health Care's major gifts program, with a focus on building relationships with donors and securing significant funding for the organization's strategic priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of fundraising success, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including donors, faculty, and hospital leadership.
This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $144,000 to $200,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be based in Redwood City, California, and will be required to travel regularly to meet with donors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy for Stanford Health Care, with a focus on building relationships with donors and securing significant funding for the organization's strategic priorities.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts prospects, with a focus on securing gifts of $250,000 or more.
- Work closely with hospital leadership, faculty, and other stakeholders to develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with the organization's goals and priorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with donors, including regular communication, stewardship, and recognition.
- Collaborate with other development staff to ensure a cohesive and effective development program.
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of fundraising success, with a focus on major gifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results and meeting deadlines.
- Valid passport for international travel.
