POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wiring Engineering Team Leader is tasked with managing and directing the activities of the
Wiring Engineering division to guarantee effective and proficient project delivery. Reporting to the
Engineering Manager, this position entails offering technical direction, overseeing resources, and ensuring
adherence to quality benchmarks and project timelines. The Wiring Engineering Team Leader will also
work alongside cross-functional teams to promote innovation and ongoing enhancement in engineering
practices. Key responsibilities will encompass operations across various sites to effectively manufacture wire and
harness assemblies for our clients and to deliver any additional engineering-related services as required
and contracted by our clients. The ability to lead, coordinate, and establish clear project parameters for
engineering teams is essential. The role also requires the capability to propose project strategies and implement changes as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Wiring Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role in providing direct assistance to the
    Operations unit while ensuring the long-term goals of the facility are consistently advanced and
    achieved. This role collaborates with Production and Quality Leadership, as well as Business Management, to
    deliver safe, reliable, and profitable performance that aligns with KMM's Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Offer technical direction and support to engineers, aiding them in problem-solving and
    decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure quality
    and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality, and procurement, to ensure
    smooth integration of engineering activities with overall business operations.
  • Monitor project advancement, identify potential bottlenecks or challenges, and take proactive measures
    to mitigate risks and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments of engineering personnel, providing feedback, coaching,
    and mentoring to encourage professional growth and development.
  • Manage engineering budgets, including resource allocation, equipment procurement, and cost
    control, to optimize project outcomes within financial constraints.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in engineering technology and industry trends, and
    recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the Wiring Engineering team, ensuring adherence
    to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited institution in a relevant engineering field + 5 years of
    experience in engineering or a related role, including at least 3 years in project management or leadership.
  • Work Experience Requirement - 12 years of experience in engineering or a related role, including at
    least 4 years in project management or leadership.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for process documentation and communication with
    internal and external clients throughout the course of the required work.
  • This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Must have the ability to clearly speak, write, read, and effectively communicate.
  • This position requires the ability to learn and interpret client specifications and write clear and
    understandable processes according to those specifications.
  • The Wiring Engineering Team Leader must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel,
    Access, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
