Job Summary

The Wire Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Wire Engineering department to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, assisting them in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities with overall business operations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of engineering staff, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring to foster professional growth and development.
  • Manage engineering budgets, including resource allocation, equipment procurement, and cost control, to optimize project outcomes within financial constraints.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in engineering technology and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the Wire Engineering team, ensuring adherence to all relevant health and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited institution in a relevant engineering field, plus 5 years of experience in engineering or a related role, including at least 3 years of project management or leadership.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for process writing and communication with internal and external customers.
  • This position requires the ability to multi-task work with frequent interruptions.
  • Have the ability to clearly speak, write, read, and effectively communicate.
  • This position requires the ability to learn and interpret customer specifications and write clear and understandable processes per those specifications.
  • Wire Engineering Supervisor must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
  • Strong leadership skills.
