The primary objective of this role is to manufacture cable wire and harness assemblies according to customer specifications and standards. The technician will be accountable for delivering a high-quality product within established timeframes, focusing on minimizing waste and ensuring a consistent workflow. Collaboration in process enhancements, identifying training needs through assessment of defects and improvement data, and maintaining quality output through teamwork are essential responsibilities. Adherence to attendance, productivity, and quality standards, along with compliance to all company policies and procedures, is crucial for all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and adhere to production guidelines and directives.
- Handle production kits, wire bundles, and materials, transporting them to designated locations as per process requirements.
- Utilize necessary tools to cut, strip, crimp, or assemble materials.
- Identify color codes accurately, as certain tasks necessitate the ability to distinguish between color markings for proper material identification.
- Possess the capability to read .37M on the Graham-Field vision chart to recognize various labels, wire markings, and part identifiers.
- Comprehend product specifications and customer requirements, assess any mechanical or material discrepancies, and communicate these to the team lead, supervisor, quality assurance, or engineering for resolution.
- Understand safety protocols regarding usage, personal protective equipment, proper labeling, handling, and disposal of chemicals involved in the production process.
- Compensation begins at $20 per hour, contingent on experience.
