POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wiring Engineering Team Leader is tasked with directing and coordinating the functions of the
Wiring Engineering division to guarantee effective and efficient project delivery. Reporting to the
Engineering Manager, this position entails offering technical direction, managing personnel, and ensuring
adherence to quality benchmarks and project timelines. The Wiring Engineering Team Leader will also
work in conjunction with cross-departmental teams to promote innovation and ongoing enhancement in engineering
practices. Key responsibilities will encompass operations across various sites to effectively manufacture wire and
harness assemblies for our clientele and to deliver any additional engineering-related services requested
by our clients. The ability to lead, coordinate, and establish clear project parameters for
engineering teams is essential. The role requires the capability to propose project methodologies and implement changes as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Wiring Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role in providing direct assistance to the
    Operations division while ensuring the long-term goals of the facility are consistently advanced and
    achieved. This role collaborates with Production and Quality Leadership, as well as Business Management, to
    ensure safe, reliable, and profitable operations that align with KMM's Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Offer technical support and guidance to engineers, aiding them in troubleshooting and
    decision-making processes.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure quality
    and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as production, quality, and procurement, to ensure
    the seamless integration of engineering activities with overall business operations.
  • Track project progress, identify potential challenges or issues, and take proactive steps
    to mitigate risks and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments of engineering personnel, providing feedback, coaching,
    and mentoring to promote professional development.
  • Oversee engineering budgets, including resource distribution, equipment acquisition, and cost
    management, to optimize project results within financial limits.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in engineering technology and industry trends, and
    suggest innovative solutions to improve productivity and competitiveness.
  • Encourage a culture of safety and compliance within the Wiring Engineering team, ensuring adherence
    to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited institution in a relevant engineering discipline + 5 years of
    experience in engineering or a related field, including at least 3 years in project management or leadership.
  • Work Experience Requirement - 12 years of experience in engineering or a related field, including at
    least 4 years in project management or leadership.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary for process documentation and communication with
    internal and external stakeholders throughout the required work.
  • This position necessitates the ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Must possess the ability to clearly articulate, write, read, and effectively communicate.
  • This role requires the ability to comprehend and interpret client specifications and draft clear and
    understandable processes according to those specifications.
  • The Wiring Engineering Team Leader must be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel,
    Access, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in hiring and employee development.
