Position Overview

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Community Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will oversee marketing initiatives for the division, collaborating with Corporate Marketing and various media outlets to develop community marketing materials, campaigns, and strategies. Responsibilities include planning, staging, and maintaining community models.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside Corporate Marketing to direct marketing efforts for all active and upcoming communities, including the approval of marketing materials such as advertising campaigns, press releases, website designs, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Managing division purchasing authority.
  • Maintaining JDE files related to community model homes.
  • Preparing marketing reports to analyze campaign effectiveness.
  • Overseeing department supplies, including directional signs and printed materials.
  • Coordinating the installation of community signage.
  • Participating in the selection of model options and managing the schedule for new model home installations.
  • Hiring and managing vendors for model home openings.
  • Collaborating with model merchandisers, interior designers, landscape architects, and on-site superintendents.
  • Merchandising select model homes and managing their maintenance post-opening.
  • Overseeing the installation of merchandising and marketing displays in Design Centers.
  • Updating existing model homes and coordinating furniture transfers for merchandising.
  • Engaging with vendors and suppliers regarding new upgrades and options for customers.
  • Tracking model home furniture inventory.
  • Conducting all business in a professional and ethical manner to enhance customer satisfaction and the company's reputation.
  • Possessing a valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including overnight trips.
  • Communicating with various departments to enhance products and the company's image.
  • Staying informed on current merchandising and design trends for community model homes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email applications.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, kneel, bend, and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions with a moderate noise level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Marketing or a related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards software.
