Position: Marketing Specialist

Reports to: Marketing & Creative Manager


Objective:

Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services to marginalized populations. We are in search of a Marketing Specialist who is passionate about service and health equity to advance our mission through innovative marketing initiatives. This role encompasses project oversight, graphic design, website management, search engine optimization (SEO), and the creation of marketing materials specifically designed for underserved communities, alongside overseeing our social media channels. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in marketing, outstanding communication abilities, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Various Social Media Channels: Formulate and execute social media strategies, generate captivating content, track trends, and evaluate the success of social media initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Community Development Director to implement marketing strategies that enhance access to quality healthcare for underserved populations.
  • Manage marketing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and curate content for our patient communication platform.
  • Create marketing materials, including print and digital content, that resonate with our mission and target demographic.
  • Maintain and update website content, ensuring user-friendliness, visual appeal, and search engine optimization.
  • Conduct SEO research and analysis to enhance website visibility and ranking.
  • Capture images for marketing purposes.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to enhance brand recognition through marketing strategies that reflect our commitment to social justice and health equity.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with the community development team.
  • Analyze data to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure that marketing materials are regularly reviewed and comply with brand standards.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Ability to generate marketing analysis and reports.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine desire to learn and grow.
  • A commitment to serving underserved communities and advocating for health equity.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience in a healthcare context, preferably with underserved populations.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with web design platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix.
  • Experience with SEO and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or Wrike.
  • A marketing degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and sitting. The employee may also need to lift or move items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment:
This position will primarily operate in an office setting but may involve travel between health centers and participation in community events and offsite meetings.
