Senior Development Director Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Revenue Generation Director to join our team in Oakland, CA. This role will be instrumental in driving revenue for our Heart Challenge Campaign, which includes our signature Heart Walk event.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience and a strong initiative to effectively prospect and secure new business with a reputation for donor-centric results. The position requires daily local travel, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to lift and/or move large objects.

A competitive base salary of $86,900 - $104,310 is offered, commensurate with experience, along with geographic differentials. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a robust retirement program, this position offers performance-based incentives and opportunities for professional development through our online university, HeartU.

About the Role
  • Demonstrate leadership competencies and effective management techniques to develop and engage staff in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Manage and implement the Heart Challenge campaign, aligning with Association best practices, and drive revenue growth by identifying, recruiting, and activating influential volunteer leaders.
  • Prospect, solicit, close, and steward high-level corporate and individual donors, developing year-round cultivation plans to ensure superior donor relations.
