Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative Associate to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. You will be responsible for resolving customer service inquiries, analyzing and solving complex customer problems, and providing timely and accurate information to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
  • Meet Established Productivity, Schedule Adherence, and Quality Standards
  • Respond to Complex Customer Calls
  • Resolve Customer Service Inquiries
  • Provide Benefit and Eligibility Information
  • Resolve Billing and Payment Issues
  • Handle Customer Material Requests
  • Assign Physicians and Obtain Authorizations for Treatment
  • Explain Benefits (EOB)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems, or 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • Basic proficiency with Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work 100% onsite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
  • Ability to multi-task, including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day, despite tasks may be repetitive

Physical and Work Environment

  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $23.94 per hour. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
