Position Overview

The Sales Planning Associate Manager plays a crucial role within the organization, acting as the primary liaison for sales and business development.

This position involves engagement in nearly every facet of the market strategy, serving as the 'voice of the customer' to headquarters and vice versa.

Daily responsibilities are akin to roles in Sales Planning, Trade Marketing, or Customer Marketing in other firms. This is a proactive role within a rapidly expanding organization where innovation, initiative, and enthusiasm are key to making a significant impact.

This role entails regular interaction with functional leaders and senior management, fostering a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Commercial Brand Development (CBD) team to formulate medium and long-term strategies that align with the brand's goals.

  • Work alongside field sales teams to devise strategies and plans essential for achieving the organization's growth targets.
  • Represent Sales in the annual financial planning process to assess growth potential and resource allocation.
  • Develop strategies for market entry and channel development while contributing to the long-term innovation pipeline.
  • Engage with new product development and commercialization teams to ensure customer requirements and sales needs are prioritized.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and field sales on the execution of the annual business plan, including:

Collaboration with CBD, Category Insights, Consumer Insights, Marketing, and other partners on all aspects of business development, including new item presentations and customer meetings.

Maintain the annual Go-To-Market playbook for the Field Sales organization, detailing priorities, selling materials, and in-store standards.

Manage the relationship between field sales, demand planning, and cross-functional partners during the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.

Oversee customer-level tracking of new product development launches concerning forecasting trends and annual business plan volumes.

Lead the development of seasonal and/or limited edition portfolios and promotions, ensuring effective commercial execution.


Qualifications

Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Customer Development, preferably within a consumer products environment, with customer-facing experience across various channels and categories.

Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to independently evaluate data and integrate it into compelling sales narratives.
  • Experience in Sales and/or Customer Development with customer-facing roles across multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting data (Nielsen/IRI).
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work autonomously to identify business needs and opportunities for sales growth.
