We are seeking a seasoned Construction Planning Manager to join our team.


Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses the following:

Business Development
  • Establishes a robust client network within a specific market or industry segment.
  • Gathers precise market intelligence to inform future development strategies.
  • Fosters relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Engages in industry associations to promote best practices and cultivate potential client connections.
Proposal Management
  • Oversees proposal strategies, assessing risks and determining pricing; plays a pivotal role in the sales strategy and supports the team throughout the process.
  • Collaborates with the Business Unit Management Team and Branch Managers to devise project-specific proposal strategies.
  • Assesses bid/no-bid decisions alongside the Business Unit Management Team and Branch Managers.
  • Creates comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Works in conjunction with engineering teams to formulate cost-effective designs.
  • Coordinates bid evaluations and manages proposal submissions.
  • Conducts follow-ups on bids and maintains communication until project awards are finalized.
Risk Management
  • Thoroughly understands and adheres to risk management policies and procedures.
  • Identifies significant risks and implements measures to mitigate potential impacts on the organization.
Team Leadership
  • Provides mentorship, direction, and support to team members to enhance individual and departmental performance.
  • Takes proactive steps to develop team members, including career development planning, training, promotions, and performance management.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical, construction, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
