On-Site Print Production Lead

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Print Production Supervisor who possesses a strong background in the printing sector, ready to play a vital role within our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with shop and remote management to deliver administrative and operational support for the assigned print facility.
  2. Aids the Shop Manager in coordinating the workforce during standard hours or in overtime scenarios.
  3. Oversees production jobs and liaises with production and graphic specialists regarding any specific instructions, proofs, and shipping details.
  4. Engages with clients to clarify specifications and address inquiries related to submitted print jobs.
  5. Ensures that all project timelines are adhered to and that budgetary constraints are respected.
  6. Educates shop personnel on proper production methods and best practices.
  7. Guarantees that equipment is well-maintained and updated, and recommends new tools that enhance productivity.
  8. Manages inventory and the organization of materials.
  9. Handles customer escalations with professionalism and care.
  10. Assists in various departments as required.
  11. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  3. Proficiency in Grand Large Format Printing.
  4. Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members.
  5. Exceptional customer service skills with experience in direct client interactions.
  6. Effective communication skills for delegating tasks and explaining procedures.
  7. In-depth knowledge of printing equipment and materials.
  8. Ability to articulate department capabilities and company offerings to clients.
  9. Highly developed organizational skills.
  10. Capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus.
