Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Lead Consultant or Manager to join our Pacific Northwest Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, including environmental site investigation and characterization, and regulatory review, interpretation, and compliance in the Pacific Northwest region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical analysis of complicated site contamination and regulatory compliance issues and prepare technical reports that effectively communicate findings.
  • Evaluate remedial alternatives and develop remedial action plans and cost estimates considering client needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory environment.
  • Prepare technical analyses and write reports that effectively communicate findings, including in support of consulting and testifying experts on environmental litigation matters.
  • Assess emerging contaminant risks and impacts for sites and portfolios of sites.
  • Support the assessment, valuation, management and reporting of environmental liabilities.
  • Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.
  • Critically review and interpret environmental regulations.
  • Lead and conduct multiple projects simultaneously and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership in implementing corporate health and safety standards.
  • Leverage experience and skill set to support training of other team members.

Requirements

  • Experience with leading/managing environmental site investigation and remediation projects.
  • Strong technical skills and experience writing technical reports.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Personal Qualities

  • Ability to work concurrently on numerous technical projects while maintaining flexibility.
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skillsets (e.g., using ArcGIS Pro, R, and/or Python).
  • Interest in understanding, quantifying, and communicating about uncertainty.
  • Comfort with public speaking and presentations.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment with other technical experts locally or in other offices.
  • Ability to understand the big picture while maintaining attention to detail and quality control.
  • Interest in making a positive impact on the world through our work and our support to clients.
