ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Engineering Program Manager, you will collaborate with Wind River's Engineering and Product Management teams on a diverse array of products and initiatives that will significantly influence our company's efficiency, adaptability, and market presence.

This position is crucial in fostering consensus, organizing content and timelines, executing releases, and driving positive transformations.

Who You Will Collaborate With

The ideal candidate will engage with nearly all departments within Wind River as products and related initiatives progress from conception to delivery.

This includes supporting ongoing programs and spearheading new initiatives.
This role will report to the Director of Engineering Program Management.
Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee release planning and execution activities with multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed teams, focusing on adherence to the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL).

Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed about the objectives, scope, and timelines of the planned deliverables.

Facilitate schedule and content commitments between Engineering and Product Management, which involves developing new features and enhancements while maintaining a strong focus on security.

Possess hands-on experience and knowledge in Team Capacity Planning and delivering programs within budget constraints.
Identify and mitigate impediments, risks, dependencies, and changes in scope.
Demonstrate experience in driving towards established quality standards.
Hands-on experience in data-driven program management with a solid understanding of program management metrics. Familiarity with Agile metrics and Earned Value Management is highly valued.
Maintain engagement with business teams, product owners, security teams, and technical leads to ensure alignment of strategy and execution.
Create an environment that fosters mutual influence, collaboration, and self-organization.

ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Proven Success
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record of success in a matrix organizational structure.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale programs.
Qualifications
A total of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in program management within a SAAS or embedded environment.
A strong grasp of phase/gate and agile development methodologies and tools.
Must be a self-starter, collaborative, and a strong team player.
Must be a US National or a US Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Software Engineering throughout the full development lifecycle and processes, along with agile and scrum project management tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence).

Experience in managing complex, multi-product requirements intake and backlog refinement processes.
Experience in building teams from the ground up.
Technology development experience in the Automotive, Telecom, or Industrial sectors.
Professional certifications in project management such as PMI-PMP, SAFe-SPC, SAFe-RTE.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this role is competitive and includes a bonus structure. Employees in this role are also eligible for various benefits in accordance with the company's plans:
