As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of ZipRecruiter's product offerings.

The Opportunity

ZipRecruiter's product development initiatives encompass the design and implementation of innovative solutions essential for enhancing user experience.

As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of these solutions, keeping us on track to advance our technology while collaborating closely with our valued clients.

How You'll Fulfill Your Mission

Develop ambitious yet achievable timelines for delivering product features, coordinating interfaces and integration points across all development teams.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Assurance, to ensure precise development, thorough testing, seamless integration, and effective operation of our solutions, while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Provide valuable insights on project status, critical paths, risks, and opportunities, utilizing a comprehensive view of the project schedule sourced from all teams.

Use these insights to optimize resource allocation, make strategic decisions, and maintain progress toward an aggressive yet attainable timeline, all while keeping our clients informed.

Unify teams in addressing complex multi-stakeholder decisions, leveraging your understanding of both technical and business aspects, while ensuring that client requirements are met.

Inspire our teams to collaborate effectively, working towards common goals and successfully advancing our product offerings while ensuring our clients' needs are prioritized.

Why We Value You
7+ years of experience in program/project management for complex product development initiatives
Deep understanding of both agile and waterfall management techniques
Technical background with the ability to engage on technical topics when necessary to comprehend schedules and drive execution
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate project execution, including a strong focus on client satisfaction
Comfort with ambiguity, coupled with the ability to create structure when required
Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
Outstanding communication skills, catering to audiences ranging from junior team members to senior executives and clients
A structured and top-down approach to problem-solving, complemented by the ability to engage on technical topics when necessary to drive execution
Proficiency with common project management tools, including Smartsheet and Jira
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience
Desired Multipliers
An advanced degree in an area of specialization, particularly in Engineering or an MBA
Project Management Certification
$170,000 - $210,000 a year


The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base salary range and excludes additional earnings such as bonuses and benefits.
