The Opportunity
This role is based in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, dedicated to empowering individuals with diabetes through transformative products that deliver precise data for informed health decisions. We are at the forefront of revolutionizing glucose monitoring with our cutting-edge sensing technology.
The Strategic Marketing team in Alameda, CA, seeks a dynamic and motivated Senior Product Manager to spearhead the launch of groundbreaking products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead upstream marketing initiatives, including market research, pricing strategies, launch planning, and collaboration with regional marketing teams to assess sales performance.
- Prepare products for market introduction by coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Technical Product, R&D, Program Management, Quality, and Marketing.
- Analyze global trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive launch plans and associated deliverables.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with product labeling and documentation standards.
- Generate sales forecasts and collaborate with sales and operations teams to monitor performance against projections.
- Evaluate product performance and customer feedback to inspire new product concepts.
- Identify necessary product modifications to better serve customer needs.
- Collaborate with various organizational sectors to implement product enhancements.
- Adjust strategies to optimize product sales performance.
- Provide ongoing product management support.
- Oversee the entire product life cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, business, or marketing; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in medical device marketing or product management.
