Position Overview
As a Senior Clinical Research Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our Alameda, CA location within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. This division is committed to empowering individuals with diabetes to effectively manage their health through groundbreaking products that deliver precise data for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, execution, and monitoring of internal clinical studies, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Lead the design, training, and oversight of Abbott-sponsored external clinical studies aimed at regulatory and commercial access.
- Identify and qualify external clinical sites to facilitate research initiatives.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Formulate clinical strategies that support product development and market launch.
- Engage in cross-functional team activities related to product development, including risk management considerations.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in clinical study management or relevant laboratory work is essential.
- Proven clinical monitoring experience and a strong background in leading projects and teams.
- Experience in sponsor clinical research is required, with a preference for medical device-related studies and knowledge of diabetes management.
- Familiarity with regulations governing medical devices is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s or PhD in a scientific discipline or related field.
- Experience with quality management systems, including GAP analysis and audit preparation.
- Knowledge of CAPA processes and a robust clinical operations background.
