Position Overview

The Consumer Growth Marketing team is dedicated to cultivating and engaging our consumer base by delivering a relevant and interactive cross-channel experience. As this team continues to expand, we anticipate that this individual will take on a leadership role, contribute to our marketing strategies, and advance their career as the team evolves.

Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a talented and motivated performance marketer with a solid understanding of online marketing and performance channels to join our Consumer Growth Marketing team. This role presents an opportunity to make an immediate impact by overseeing the performance of acquisition channels. You will lead analyses, tackle complex challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to propel the business forward. This position allows for collaboration with various DoorDash teams, including Martech, Analytics, and Product, as well as with partners such as Google, Meta, Snapchat, and TikTok, to explore and implement innovative marketing technologies.

Your Contributions Will Include...
  • Managing substantial monthly digital budgets across various paid marketing channels, including Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat), Display (DSP), Paid Search (Google, Apple), and Affiliates.
  • Collaborating closely with agencies and internal teams to optimize media buying strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets efficiently, utilizing insights from SQL and other analytical tools.
  • Establishing channel forecasts and budget recommendations, with the agility to swiftly adjust tactics and strategies based on insights and opportunities.
  • Directing and managing agencies to meet objectives and ROI targets.
  • Monitoring and maintaining key performance metrics across channels, including budget pacing, CPA, CVR, CAC, new customer acquisition, and volume goals.
  • Overseeing an experimentation roadmap to enhance performance, including A/B creative tests, incrementality tests, and marketing media mix optimizations in collaboration with Analytics.
  • Working alongside the local brand team to manage creative projects and ensure successful campaign implementation from inception to market launch.
  • Testing new channel and product features to identify incremental audiences and inventory for accelerated growth.
  • Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Being adaptable to work until 7 PM PST up to three days a week for key stakeholder meetings across different time zones.
  • Being open to occasional travel to Australia/New Zealand.
Qualifications

We are excited about candidates who are results-driven marketers with proven experience managing large budgets across acquisition channels. You should possess strong analytical skills, with A/B testing, optimizing customer acquisition costs, and analyzing campaign performance as your core competencies. Creativity and collaboration are essential, as is the ability to tackle challenging problems. Most importantly, you should be eager to identify opportunities and efficiencies in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with paid social, display, and paid search marketing channels.
  • A BA/BS degree and 4-6 years of relevant digital performance marketing experience.
  • Direct, hands-on experience in media buying, optimization (Paid Search, App Search), and strategic planning, either at an agency or in-house.
  • Familiarity with CPA, CPC, CVR, and LTV metrics.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, along with a strong understanding of A/B testing and metrics-driven performance marketing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; comfort with data analysis is essential.
  • A proactive approach to achieving success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Web & App Tracking/Attribution is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data processing scripts is preferred.
  • Experience in multi-sided marketplace businesses is preferred.
