Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled consumer growth marketer to contribute to our expanding consumer marketing division during a crucial and exciting phase for DoorDash.

The Consumer Growth Marketing team is dedicated to cultivating and engaging our consumer base by delivering a captivating and pertinent cross-channel experience. As this team rapidly evolves, we anticipate that this individual will take on a leadership role, assist in shaping our marketing strategies, and advance their career alongside the team's growth.

Key Responsibilities

We seek a talented and motivated performance marketer with a robust understanding of online marketing and performance channels to join our Consumer Growth Marketing team. This role presents an opportunity to make an immediate impact by overseeing the performance of acquisition channels. You will lead analyses, tackle complex challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to propel the business forward. In this capacity, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various DoorDash teams, including Martech, Analytics, and Product, as well as our partners, to test and implement innovative marketing technologies.

  • Oversee substantial monthly digital budgets across various paid marketing channels, including Paid Social, Display, Paid Search, and Affiliates.
  • Collaborate closely with agencies and internal teams to optimize media buying strategies aimed at achieving ambitious growth objectives in a cost-effective manner, utilizing insights from analytics tools.
  • Establish channel forecasts and budget suggestions, demonstrating agility and ownership in adjusting tactics based on insights and opportunities.
  • Direct and manage agencies to meet goals and ROI targets.
  • Monitor and maintain key performance metrics across channels, including budget pacing, CPA, CVR, CAC, and new customer acquisition.
  • Manage an experimentation roadmap to enhance performance through A/B testing, incrementality tests, and marketing media mix optimizations.
  • Collaborate with local brand teams to oversee creative projects and ensure successful campaign execution from inception to launch.
  • Explore new channel and product features to identify additional audiences and inventory for accelerated growth.
  • Work in conjunction with other teams and stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Be adaptable to work up to 7pm PST on select days to accommodate key stakeholder meetings.
  • Be open to occasional travel for team collaboration.
Qualifications

We are looking for a results-driven marketer with proven experience managing significant budgets across acquisition channels. You possess strong analytical skills and are proficient in A/B testing, optimizing customer acquisition costs, and evaluating campaign performance. You are creative, collaborative, and excel in team environments to address challenging issues. Your enthusiasm for identifying opportunities and efficiencies in a dynamic company at the forefront of on-demand food delivery is essential.

  • Experience with paid social, display, and paid search marketing channels.
  • A BA/BS degree with 4-6 years of relevant digital performance marketing experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing media buying, optimization, and strategic planning in either an agency or in-house setting.
  • Familiarity with CPA, CPC, CVR, and LTV metrics.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, along with a strong understanding of A/B testing and metrics-driven performance marketing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; comfortable with data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Proactive approach to achieving success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Web & App Tracking/Attribution is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data processing scripts is a plus.
  • Experience in multi-sided marketplace businesses is advantageous.
