Job Description

LCG, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the continual improvement and maintenance of operational environments and business processes for The Office of Financial Information Systems (OFIS) with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
    • Develop and implement strategies for continual improvement and maintenance of the operational environment with the Chief Operating Officer (COR) and Technical Manager (TM).
    • Facilitate business process improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stewards, and Stakeholders to plan and create roadmaps, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Feature Breakdown Structures (FBS), and release plans.
    • Coordinate with COR and TM to schedule project timelines based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Project Scheduling & Documentation:
    • Develop project schedules using Microsoft Project and ensure all planning activities are aligned with stakeholder expectations.
    • Prepare and provide briefings to Subject Matter Experts (SME), stakeholders, and CDC officials as required.
    • Maintain compliance with CDC's Enterprise Project Life Cycle (EPLC) process, supporting OFIS with all required EPLC documentation.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Provide written bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports detailing operational and technical accomplishments, milestones, risks, issues, and process improvements.
    • Ensure reports are delivered to COR and TM electronically with detailed breakdowns of task activities.
  • Application & Infrastructure Management:
    • Manage existing applications, data, reporting systems, and the infrastructure roadmap.
    • Update the infrastructure roadmap throughout the period of performance, with an initial draft due within 30 business days of contract award.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the OFIS Software Development and Services (SDS) Team to contribute to the establishment and documentation of the new knowledge center of excellence for SharePoint and Power Platform functionalities.
    • Share strategies, lessons learned, and participate in knowledge transfer activities with other contractors as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:
    • Collaborate with other contractors, ensuring successful completion of contract tasks through the exchange of information and strategies.
    • Act as a point of contact for stakeholder queries and manage expectations through regular communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification- Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, including developing WBS, roadmaps, release plans, and schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with the CDC's Enterprise Project Life Cycle (EPLC) or similar governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power Platform, and IT infrastructure management is a plus.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in healthcare or public health sector projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
