Job Overview

BHS Corrugated & Robotics is on the lookout for a skilled and committed Electrical Field Service Supervisor to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will guide and support our Electrical Field Service Technicians (FSTs), ensuring all electrical service engagements are executed efficiently and effectively while upholding the highest standards of service excellence. You will maintain ongoing communication with technicians during and after service visits to guarantee successful task completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership Development: Cultivate the skills of service technicians to improve their customer engagement abilities and technical expertise within our established skills framework.
  2. Task Coordination: Work closely with the Electrical Field Service Coordinator to prioritize and organize tasks, including upgrades, installations, service calls, M2Ps, and warranty work. Address scheduling conflicts to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Effective Communication: Actively update the Field Service Manager and clients about potential escalation matters, collaborating to develop effective solutions.
  4. Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Foster a robust safety culture by enforcing safety protocols with technicians and clients. Utilize insights from near-miss incidents to enhance safety measures.
  5. Resource Allocation: Ensure technicians are provided with the essential tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), software, and resources necessary for their roles. Streamline reporting tools for efficiency and accuracy. Oversee the recruitment process, including resume evaluations, interviews, offer negotiations, and terminations when required. Conduct performance assessments for employees.
  6. Ongoing Training: Continuously enhance technician competencies by advancing their skills within our proficiency matrix.
  7. Process Optimization: Identify and implement enhancements and efficiency improvements within Field Service operations.
  8. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Promote effective communication and teamwork between internal departments, including Helpdesk, Engineering, and Spare Parts, to meet customer needs and align with company goals.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory or lead maintenance role.
  3. Strong leadership and management capabilities with the ability to inspire and empower a team.
  4. Capacity to manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  5. Excellent communication skills for professional interactions with clients and upper management.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  7. Able to work independently without direct oversight.
