Position Overview

As a seasoned internal consultant, you will spearhead extensive, intricate, enterprise-wide process enhancement initiatives that support various business sectors within Wellmark. Your role will involve leveraging Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive improvements that enhance business performance, elevate customer satisfaction, and generate cost savings. Through coaching, mentoring, and education, you will collaborate closely with senior executives to pinpoint process enhancement opportunities and select the most suitable improvement methodologies. You will ensure that process management tools and techniques are effectively integrated throughout the organization, leading to sustainable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, assignment, and oversight of process enhancement projects by evaluating business needs and priorities.
  • Conduct comprehensive process evaluations, incorporating customer feedback, performance metrics, and cost analysis to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead transformational enterprise-level improvement initiatives, utilizing Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit expertise in a variety of process improvement methodologies and tools, ensuring integrity in their application by the Process Excellence team.
  • Provide on-demand training to project team members on process improvement methodologies, tools, and concepts to enhance their capabilities.
  • Mentor Green Belts, Black Belts, and Lean Practitioners to achieve peak performance and oversee certification processes for Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Support the creation, alignment, and execution of a cohesive process improvement strategy to drive Wellmark's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the daily execution of project ideation, chartering, assignment, and completion, including oversight of the Process Excellence project tracking and reporting tool.
  • Identify and integrate industry best practices, benchmarks, and customer insights to support the execution of the process improvement strategy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
