Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant to provide support for the Risk Committee of the Board and the Enterprise Risk & Control Committee (ERCC) Execution Support team. This role is essential in managing daily execution and administrative tasks for the Risk Committee, which aids the Board of Directors in overseeing the comprehensive risk management framework and the Independent Risk Management function, as well as the ERCC, which addresses the company's most critical risk and control issues.

The Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant will be an experienced professional with substantial expertise in board or governance committee operations, responsible for coordinating and managing all pre, during, and post-meeting activities. This individual will also advise and influence leaders across the organization regarding related processes and expectations.

The ideal candidate will recognize that the Risk Committee & ERCC Execution Support team contributes significant value to the organization through consistent demonstration of (i) proficiency in committee governance, (ii) the ability to influence stakeholders, (iii) collaboration across various departments, and (iv) effective and timely communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage strategically with and serve as a knowledgeable advisor to professionals at all levels across business units and enterprise functions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management, presenters, and governance committee secretaries to fulfill committee charter obligations by:
  • Planning agendas.
  • Communicating expectations, feedback, and best practices for committee materials to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Managing escalations and follow-up actions through to resolution.
  • Assisting in the documentation process for ERCC minutes, including coordinating draft reviews.
  • Addressing inquiries and unique challenges related to committee processes and expectations with expertise.
  • Facilitating valuable committee preparation sessions and associated activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, manuals, tools, and templates related to the Risk Committee and ERCC.
  • Promptly fulfilling documentation requests for the ERCC.
  • Supporting the establishment of a companywide governance committee calendar aligned with board committee schedules.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and objectively.
  • Experience in influencing others through leading significant change or governance initiatives.
  • Reputation for sound judgment, integrity, attention to detail, and a strong business acumen.
  • Experience in business, governance, and/or risk management within the financial services sector.
  • Background in audit, legal, compliance, or governance committee functions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ownership mentality with the ability to design and implement successful execution of priorities.
  • Ability to foster partnerships and collaborate with various business and functional areas, including remote teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt plans swiftly to meet evolving business needs.
