Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Excellence Consultant, you will take on the role of an internal advisor, spearheading large-scale, intricate process enhancement initiatives that span various business sectors within Wellmark. Your expertise in Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies will be crucial in:

  • Maximizing operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Delivering measurable savings to the organization.
  • Coaching and mentoring key executives to identify and seize process improvement opportunities.
  • Integrating process management tools and techniques across the organization to ensure sustained business results.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in process improvement, business process analysis, or engineering.
  • Proven track record in leading complex process improvement projects utilizing innovative thinking and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive redesign initiatives with a focus on end-to-end analysis.
  • Strong understanding of quality and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
Additional Responsibilities

In this role, you will also:

  • Assist in planning and overseeing process improvement projects based on business needs.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of processes, incorporating customer feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead enterprise-level transformation initiatives, applying Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure mastery of various process improvement tools and methodologies within the team.
  • Provide training to project team members on process improvement practices.
  • Mentor Green Belts, Black Belts, and Lean Practitioners, overseeing their certification processes.
  • Support the development and execution of a cohesive process improvement strategy aligned with Wellmark's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the daily execution of project ideation and completion, including tracking and reporting.
  • Identify and integrate industry best practices and customer insights into the process improvement strategy.
