Position Overview:
At Cooper University Health Care, we pride ourselves on our dedication to delivering exceptional health services, which starts with our talented team.

Role Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist patients with their daily living activities and contribute to their care plans. Your role will involve:
  • Engaging with and supporting the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
  • Assisting with essential daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Implementing standard precautions, particularly in the care of patients in isolation.
  • Performing technical tasks as directed by the RN, including phlebotomy, monitoring vital signs, conducting point-of-care testing, and managing Foley catheter care.
  • Reinforcing education for patients and their families regarding care needs and safety considerations.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and completing annual competencies as required.
  • Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
  • Completion of an unlicensed healthcare provider or technician program.
  • At least one fundamental nursing course completed in an accredited RN program.
  • A minimum of one year of patient care experience in a comparable position.
Competency Requirements:
Successful completion of phlebotomy and EKG competency during orientation is essential.
