Position Overview
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Critical Care Technician aids patients with their daily living activities and adheres to the established care plan. This role involves effective communication and support for the healthcare team, patients, and their families or significant others. The technician is expected to uphold and exhibit high standards of professional ethics.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year of patient care experience in a comparable position is necessary.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of at least one foundational nursing course in an accredited RN program.
- Successful completion of a technician program for unlicensed healthcare providers.
- High school diploma or GED.
Certification Requirements
Certification in Basic Life Support from AHA is required.
