Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
Virtua is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team in Camden. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility and transport.
- Perform technical duties as directed by RN/LPN, such as vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and foley catheter care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Assist in the orientation of new hires and provide education to patients and families on individual care needs and safety issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED) required.
- Successful completion of a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent experience in direct patient care.
- BLS certification and phlebotomy training/education required for Emergency Department positions.
